G̱ilakas'la Families,

We wanted to let our school community know that today we initiated a cautionary lockdown at the school.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution while staff responded to a situation on school grounds. At no time were students directly threatened, and all students and staff remained safe.

Our staff and students did an excellent job following our safety procedures. We practice these routines so that we are prepared and can respond calmly when needed.

The situation was resolved quickly, and regular school activities resumed.

Student safety is always our top priority, and we appreciate the support and understanding of our families and community.

G̱ilakasla,
