We have finished the year off in true Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw School style! These past few weeks have been extremely busy but rewarding. It has been so nice to reconnect with our families and community and get back to some pre-COVID 19 events and activities.

We have a busy but shorter week ahead! Hereβs whatβs happening at GN School for October 19β23:

π Monday β Division 1 visiting the Foundry in the afternoon.
π Tuesday β Swimming for Pre K & Kindergarten.
π TuesdayβThursday β Fish processing activities.
π Wednesday β Divisions 6/7 visiting Storeyβs Beach at 1:00 pm.

Thursday, October 22 β Early dismissal at 12:00 pm for professional development.
π« Friday, October 23 β NO SCHOOL for students (Professional Development Day).
π Our weekly breakfast, snack, and lunch menu is also attached. Please check out what Chef Sharon and our Food Services team have planned!
Please remember the early dismissal Thursday and school closure Friday.

The kids might as well graduate now there’s barely any school for them js
Our Kindergarten and Grade 1 students had a wonderful opportunity to visit Little Tsulquate Creek and watch the salmon returning to spawn! What a great way for our young learners to connect with nature, explore their local environment, and learn about the importance of salmon to our ecosystem, culture, and community. Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom! π

We are excited to be having the book fair at our school. All funds raised allow us to add more books to our library. Come check it out with your kids, or you can send money, and we will help the kids make great choices.
